a great New York Times piece on the death of a copy editor, my first real job out of college; which happened after they announced the death of the dark room.
I will notice if copy editors vanish from the earth. I hope they put them in a nursing home with wifi access and allow us bloggers to cyber call on them, “Tuesdays with Morrie” style to learn their secrets.
