I love thrift stores, and the giddy pleasure that I can buy anything in there — no different than when I was 14 or 17.

My goddaughter, like Bella, finds what delights her at thrift stores — as she did at 2, at 6, at 11 and now, at 13 she buys our own 80s cast offs.
