as they pass each other in this flood

“What is the appropriate behavior for a man or a woman in the midst of this world, where each person is clinging to his piece of debris? What’s the proper salutation between people as they pass each other in this flood?”

~Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta

wandering in her geisha shoes through Sardinia

“The theme of the summer 2011 collection was a Japanese woman wandering in her geisha shoes through Sardinia, which the designer saw as a mirror image of Japan as both are composed of two islands and surrounded by sea.

Mr. Marras included in his poetic program words from “Sea and Sardinia” by D.H. Lawrence:

“…comes over one an absolute necessity to move — and what is more, to move in some particular direction.”
