how I love the turban…..!!
Even though I don’t wear any I know I’m a turban girl, maybe I’m saving it for my “older” days, I know I’m saving it for my older days.
I think I saved myself long enough, going hunting for one…..! (I’ll let you know!)
HA! the turban is the hat my imaginary self wears and is reserved for those later, older days as well!
i have had this long love affair with them. but am still not quite ready.
yesterday i found a pair of brown boot booties and thought of you. so i bought them and wore them with my high waisted bell bottoms and a cleopatra neck piece. i feel quite lovely.
…and you must look amazing. (brown boots + high waisted my long long time favorite)
the imaginary self & self start slowly to get together, more often, more regularly (don’t you think as we get “older”)
today little R* HAD to go to the playground wearing one of my dress, did not have the heart to tell her othewise or that she will trip on it a million times… looking at her imaginary self being shaped through what i’m wearing… aaah i have to send you a photo!
oh yes please do!
there has been quite a bit of playgrounding in our world too. little M is quite taken by my things as well…she likes to put things on her head. ahhh future turbanista?
my old self is definitely going to be catastrophic. but i can’t wait to be in her shell.
hoorah for turbans
and cleopatra neck pieces;)
particularly love the girl on the bottom right. vanessa j photo’d me once. she was lovely.
i’d love to see! is it on her website?
oh, but the part i didn’t tell you is how very awkward i am in front of cameras. she kindly did not use the shots of me looking like a deer in the headlights, literally. no doe-eyed dewiness, just fear.
