here we go, dearest friends.
i’ve boxed up the baggage and tossed out old identities. suddenly the house looks bigger, brighter without our stuff. yes, it is time. even the beetles have come to wish us well on our new journey.
but i won’t forget. this is the home where i gave birth (twice).
and the rose bush – those white tombstone roses –
i will long for their perfume next spring.
this is the morning before the big move.
